You might have your heart set on living in a particular Toronto neighbourhood. It might be Leaside, Riverdale, Cabbagetown, Leslieville, High Park or the Annex. If you have the desire, but not the budget, you really need to consider looking in the residential pockets that are close to these areas. House and condo prices can be considerably lower...even when you cross the Street! For example if you love Riverdale, think about the area East of Pape, or South of Gerrard St. Your money will go much further in South Riverdale and you will find that these areas are now very popular and will only increaase in value. Just look at Leslieville...prices have rised dramatically in the past few years...look to the future!
